The first episode of the third series of the Mighty Boosh has just gone out in the UK, of course it’s not as good as their early stuff I much preferred it when it was well underground and you had to make your own t-shirts, still funny though. It looks a bit more polished this time round but even if the Boosh have become their generations Monty Python, Young One’s, Fast Show or whatever comedy is endlessly quoted in the nation’s school playground’s or shouted by twats at five in the morning at music festivals, even if they are the quotable comedy outfit du jour they still have enough surrealism, jazz and neon about them to be doing their own thing. What other TV comedy would feature a new rave pastiche about jellied eels and jokes about shamen on stag do’s that turn up in the first of the new series.
Im posting a Boosh oddity a 40 minute mix/improv session they put together for Marry Anne Hobbs Radio 1 Breezeblock show
